Notice:
Please note that if you are mailing a recording that requires a Real Estate Excise Tax Affidavit (REETA), you will need to write two separate checks. One to the Treasurer's Office for the REETA fee and one to the Auditor's Office for the recording fee. One check cannot be accepted since they are two different departments.
County Treasurer's primary responsibilities include:
- Collecting real and personal property taxes (including performing foreclosures on real property and distraints of personal property), special assessments, excise tax, and miscellaneous receipts from other county districts and departments and collection of all delinquent accounts.

- Determining adequate liquidity in funds for payment to vendors.
- Administrating short- and long-term debt financing.
- Managing the cash flow of the County and junior taxing districts.
- Coordinating banking services and facilitating financial planning for the County and various taxing districts.
