Building Information and Resources

Mission Statement

The Building Division is a division of the Public Works Department.  They review construction plans and perform building inspections to ensure compliance with the International Building Code in order to promote sound structures and ensure the health and safety of county residents.

Snow load: 30 pounds per square foot below 2,500 feet above mean sea level; call (509) 382-4676 for requirements greater than 2,500 feet above mean sea level as determined by Snow load Analysis for Washington.

Frost Line Depth: 18 inches
Termite Potential: slight to moderate
Winter Design Temperature: 6 degrees
